Barcelona sticks to the miracle clause in the Stegen contract

Today, Saturday, a Spanish press report spoke about the latest developments regarding the renewal of Barcelona goalkeeper Andre Ter Stegen.

According to the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", negotiations are still ongoing between the two parties, as Barcelona aims to extend the duration of the contract and improve it to entice Ter Stegen to sign.

The newspaper noted that the talks with Stegen and his representatives are taking place without haste, because the current contract of the German Ranger extends until the summer of 2022.

Barcelona intends to persuade Stijn to sign a new contract that will expire in the summer of 2024, with a penalty clause of 180 million euros (the same amount as the penalty clause in the current contract), to prevent any team from thinking of including it.

And press reports have come out in the past few days, revealing the desire of Bayern Munich, Juventus and Paris St. Germain, to sign Stegen.

It is reported that the German goalkeeper is currently suffering from right knee pain that may prevent him from participating in the Spanish Super Cup.
